The margrave Jošt (IODOCVS) of Luxembourg (1354– 1411) hails from the ancient Luxembourg dynasty which reigned in Bohemia and Moravia at the end of the 14th and the beginning of the 15th century. Jošt of Luxembourg was a great-grandson of the Czech king John of Luxembourg (+1346 Crecy) and  a nephew of the Czech king and Roman emperor Charles IV. In addition to the Margrave of Moravia (1375 – 1411) and Margrave of Brandenburg (1388 and 1400), he was elected Roman king in 1410.His unique Ducat coin is known in two originals only.
